Doing an important role in connecting more than 130 member companies in order to share knowledge, share connections and network with each other.
Working for CISEx taught me a lot about project management, virtual communication and how even the smallest startup companies can make a difference if they join together.

During 4 years of membership in BEST, I’ve worked on and coordinated numerous projects, participated in numerous training events and stand-alone training sessions. I also delivered great number of training sessions.
The following list of roles in BEST is sorted chronologically from oldest to most recent in order to show my development in organization.
October 2008 - October 2009 Board member of Local BEST Group Zagreb, Vice President for IT
By being a Board member I learned a lot about people management and leadership. It’s a challenging task to find a way to motivate members of volunteering NGO to work with you on projects some might find impossible for students.
September 2009 - September 2010 International IT Committee (ITC) member at BEST
I joined ITC after participating on Nerd Camp – a training event aiming at teaching web development technologies. The most noticeable project I took part in ITC was three years long Usability project.
In ITC I learned how to work with people from all over the Europe, both virtually through mailing lists and source control and in real life.
September 2010 - present Soft-skills trainer in Training Group of BEST
In order to become a soft-skills trainer in BEST, I participated on a training event International Trainers’ Camp 2010 in Reykjavik. It’s 11 days event focused on developing skills needed to design, deliver, evaluate and follow-up an effective training event and training session.
With 135 training hours delivered in 44 training sessions on 20 training events, I gained huge experience in working with people from different backgrounds.
I coordinated Trainers’ Camp 2011 in Riga, which was organized in cooperation with another NGO called AEGEE. I learned how to manage communication between three stakeholders of event – trainers’ team (us), local organizers from Riga and participants – future trainers.
I was member of Trainers’ Camp 2012 trainers’ team, organized in cooperation with EFPSA – European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations. I learned a lot about various psychology fields such as personality types and group dynamics.
September 2010 - present Part-time developing custom Java desktop applications at Sitar s.r.l.
I developed several custom made applications for this Italian pharmaceutical company.
Working for an international client, helped me realize that different people have different mindsets and working methods.
When the projects got bigger, I hired another developer to help me work on them. This taught me how important it is to know someone’s skills before hiring him/her.

As Final work project for Bachelor’s degree, I developed an Android mobile application using specially developed algorithm for compressing plain text in order to send more characters in a single SMS.
The most noticeable project I took part in IT Committee of BEST was three years long Usability project.
I participated on lot of soft-skills related projects, I was coordinator of Train the Trainer project of BEST in 2011.
I developed several custom made Java desktop applications with Amazon Cloud integration for Sitar s.r.l.
